🔍 Meaning & Usage
The phrase ～にもほどがある is used to criticize something that has gone beyond a reasonable or acceptable limit. It conveys a strong sense of “too much” or “this is going way too far”.
Structure:[Verb / Adjective (plain form)] + にもほどがある
English Equivalents: “That’s going too far,” “There’s a limit to…,” “… is too much!”
This is often used in situations of reproach, anger, or strong disapproval.
